What are you making for Mother's Day?

Hey all!!

How is everyone out there?!? Boy oh boy have I missed reading all your lovely posts!

So Ive been wanting something new on my hook for a while, but just couldn't decide what, it needs to be something that I can set down and pick back up a million times, so something that wont involve too much counting similar to all the dishrags and wash cloths I was making- or granny squares or hexes I just love the way they look in a basket all waiting to be crocheted together.

Just as an update- we are working on our trailer, Mr. B built a covered deck for me so I can be away from the bees while still enjoying the lovely weather we've been having, we got the kitchen painted, and all of our Fiesta dished put away! I tell you what, the Dollar Tree has saved me a TON of money with stuff for the new place- i'm in love.

Well enough telling you about it, I'll share some pictures...

Before...

After...

I have no idea why these are sideways-- I saved them correctly- promise!

We also have a new member to our family--

His name is Bugsy! He is adorable!

Last night I started and Finished this sweet little pattern for a Scrubby for your Swiffer, the pattern was only $1.50 throught Ravelry, and I think it was totally worth it.  It's also available on ETSY for a slightly higher price (but then you have to wait for it to be emailed).

When it rains....

Hello Friends!

So many things to say... I will start with this:

This will not be a crafty post. I need to write about life today. I'll find something cheery and crafty hopefully soon!

Almost a week and a half ago one of my dearest friends in the world found out her husband has cancer. And if that wasn't heart breaking enough, my husband lost his job yesterday.

So ultimately we will be fine- my husband will find a new job no problem. But my friend is having a hard time ALREADY with the bills, she and her husband are out of work now- because hes already started treatments and she is taking care of him, and I feel like I need to do some type of fundraising.

Has anyone ever done anything like this for someone?

I'm on the music scene here, and considered battle of the bands but can anyone think of anything else?

I know I'm probably just at a loss because my brain is muddled, but I just feel like I have to do something for her, she is the best person in the world, and would do anything for anyone.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Maybe I can open an Etsy shop with donated items, and all the proceeds go to her? Idk, I need your help.

Hugs and Love,
Rachel

What's on my hook?

Boy oh boy! I have been busy!!

Michael's had their sugar n' cream cotton on sale this week for 1.00, so I decided time to stash up for wash cloths! I've made bunches already and the majority of them even have their ends woven in! lol

Also, last week AC Moore had super saver red heart for 1.99 so i picked up a rainbow of colors to create this beautiful scarf!  I crochet it long ways, and its a little over 8 feet long. I used a simple HDC stitch and did two rows of each color, I didn't even weave in the ends! Just added more fringe woo hoo!!

Seems like everyone I know is getting ready to have a baby! I started on these little hexes out of some baby yarn to make a blanket for one of the newborns...

This is a more modern baby blanket that I am working on.

I started on this blanket for DH before Christmas started and then is got lost in the move just to be rediscovered today! lol, maybe Ill finish it for valentine's day.

aha, this is a mystery project for now! Any guesses? I'll try to finish it soon so you don't have to wait too long!

I've also been working on some scarves...

This is my FAVORITE! I love the bright colors!

Oh, and another baby blanket for a little boy!

My goodness! I had surgery yesterday morning and am really enjoying the stay at home recovery time. I can get so much done! I was hoping Mr. B would take me to the yarn shop tonight to pick up some more goods, but he came home all snotty and sniffly so I didn't ask.

I would LOVE to see what everyone else is working on right now!!
